In the picture, we see female workers at a brewery bottling beer and sealing the bottles with corks. In the background, a foreman can be seen supervising the work. That women worked in industry was something new at a time when Sweden began to industrialise. The work could be heavy and unhealthy, but Zorn's painting should hardly be perceived as social
